I remember to this day when I first ran into Anna. I started a random match within Call of Duty MW3 Coop Survival. It was August 10th 2014. We managed to go past 30 waves. I checked out her profile to see she resided from Spain. Her gameplay was decent, and I decided to add her as a friend, hoping she would accept. Then when she did accept, I sent an invite to the MW3 Mission Incredible group. I am so glad that I did.
Anna resides in Spain. She has a daughter, and Anna’s profession is quite demanding. I too remember what her initial Steam page said. “I am a female gamer, and I have a daughter. That’s all you need to know. ” It was simple and to the point. Since 2014, I have learned alot about Anna and some of the Spanish customs. She understands broken English, typing better than most kids coming out of a US high school.
Anna and I have played Call of Duty MW3 coop survival. We have managed a handful of maps past wave 70. I have seen her commitment to keeping the Team alive. I clearly remember her on MW3 Coop survival map Bootleg. We were past wave 70, and I noticed some serious lag starting to set in. Mw3 is notorious for crashing when lag sets in, and I DID NOT want the session to crash, not awarding us credit for our hard work. I decided to run out at the start of the wave and surround myself with enemies, I went down pretty quickly, and I know Anna was confused – and probably pretty mad at what I was doing. Rather than let the game end, Anna came out of our camp, gun blasting and killed well over half of the 25 or so enemy in close and hand to hand combat. She actually revived me once – I had to throw down C4 to get myself down once again. OMG, she was MAD !! Once we were down and the game was finished I calmed her down, and told her what I saw in way of lag. I was lucky that the MW3 Coop Survival Bootleg map video I was filming worked, and I posted this on Youtube. Anna is all about giving her all in every game that I have played with her. THAT’s why I love playing and spending time with her. She is truly gifted in the gaming world, as well as in real life.
Anna and I play MW3, Borderlands 2 and a handful of other games, When she is back online, I will tell her that it is up to her what games she wants to play the most, and I hope we will get to game at least once a week, if not more.
Anna and I have spent alot of time together in games and offline chatting since that day, and I have enjoyed every minute of it. In 2017, Anna hit a bit of a rough point in her life, and I tried to assist her as much as I could. I will not address all of the details, but one of the things that has been missing in her life is a working laptop. Her laptop was getting a bit old, and it crashed about this time last year. It was my goal to get her to accept me purchasing her a brand new laptop that she could use as needed and potentially game when her schedule and mine allowed us to do so.
I am happy to report that Anna has weathered the storm and has everything she wanted in life, back with her. The only thing that is missing is a laptop in her hand. I plan on delivering her a laptop some time in 2018. The laptop I have been saving for is not a lame duck. The laptop is an Asus Republic of Gamers laptop ASUS GL703VM-NH74 17.3″ beauty. Perfect.
I am sure this will last her quite some time ! I got this off of newegg.com during the 2017 Christmas Holiday season when the prices were considerably lower.
Presently, we don’t have a lot of time to spend together online. The six hour time difference and our separate, opposite working schedules, but we always manage to say something to each other.
As I said, I miss gaming with her, and I plan on fixing that this spring. I’ll offer updates to this post as I can, or simply add a new post.
